The Florida State Golf Association one day tournament was held yesterday, Sunday, June 24th, at the Bluewater Bay Golf Club in Niceville, FL. Hugging the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay, this amenity-rich resort also offers 27 holes designed by Tom Fazio and Jerry Pate. The three nines (Bay, Lake and Marsh) are routed through southern woodlands and pristine wetland areas. The Bay/Lake order being the most scenic. The FSGA tourney was hosted on the Marsh/Lake courses. These one-day events are particularly popular with senior golfers. My group included a senior player from Tallahassee that was a transplanted West Virginian; my home state. Small world! Check out the Bluewater Bay Golf Resort.
